Peking and Jena, Oct 7, 2011 - At this year’s Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis, taking place on October 12 – 15 at the Beijing Exhibition Center in the capital of China, Analytik Jena AG will be represented with its own stand again.

Analytik Jena has joined this event since they set up their office in China in 2001. This year the worldwide operating company group celebrated the 10th anniversary of Analytik Jena China and will be joining the BCEIA for the sixth time. The brand name Analytik Jena has become very successful on the rapidly growing Chinese market for analytical measuring technology. “Our exports to China already account for 30 % of our total sales volume”, said Torsten Olschewski, General Manager of the business unit Analytical Instrumentation.

About BCEIA:
The Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis, sponsored by the China Association for Instrumental Analysis and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology (PRC), has become a biennial professional international event in this field in China. Jena, September 21, 2011 — Analytik Jena AG has delivered two high quality analysis measuring instruments to a health facility in the Japanese province Miyagi and installed them on site. The Public Health Society in the provincial capital of Sendai in Northeast Japan will benefit from the donation of the device. Similar to the neighboring region Fukushima, the Miyagi province is still particularly affected by the devastating destruction today. During previous months, the Japanese subsidiary of the Jena manufacturer of analytic measuring technology has already repaired several instruments in facilities that were damaged during the earthquake free of charge.

Analytik Jena has been present in the Japanese market with its subsidiary Analytik Jena Japan Co., Ltd. for five years. Also at the company premises in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, the earthquake was clearly felt. "Offering help for the affected regions in an extreme situation like this was not a question for Analytik Jena", said Klaus Berka, chair of the board of Analytik Jena AG.

Directly after the earthquake, the company immediately offered its customers to repair damaged analysis instruments free of charge. The Public Health Society, a public institution for health education and environmental protection, had lost several analysis instruments in its laboratories during the catastrophe. Analytik Jena consequently delivered a ZEEnit700 atomic absorption spectrometer and a multi N/C 3100 TOC analyzer to Sendai to help rebuild the premises of the health authority and restore the normal working environment of this institution.

Analytik Jena employees have now installed and commissioned the instruments in Japan. After the installation was complete and the Japanese specialists had been briefed, Analytik Jena Japan Co., Ltd. ceremonially received an official certificate of appreciation from the Public Health Society for the valuable support.

Cet appareil complète la gamme de produits contrAA® et optimise les avantages de la spectrométrie d'absorption atomique à source continue haute résolution (HR-CS AAS) spécialement pour la technique du four en graphite.

« Le développement du contrAA® 600 nous a permis de compléter notre portefeuille contrAA® avec un produit important. L'appareil à four graphite comble les lacunes entre le contrAA® 300, pour la technique à flamme et aux hydrures , et le contrAA® 700 qui combine les techniques du four graphite, à flamme et aux hydrures  », indique Torsten Olschewski, responsable de la division Analytical Instrumentation. « En analyse environnementale et agroalimentaire par exemple, ou encore en chimie clinique, la technique du four graphite associée à la spectrométrie HR-CS AAS constitue le bon choix, notamment pour l'analyse d'ultra-traces. »

L'utilisation d'une lampe au Xénon à arc court spéciale comme source de rayonnement continue en association avec un spectromètre échelle d’haute résolution permet d'obtenir immédiatement l’entière plage de longueurs d'onde utilisée en spectroscopie d'absorption atomique. En combinant ces deux composants, il est possible d'enregistrer simultanément aussi bien les lignes d'analyse que l’ensemble de l'environnement spectral. Autres avantages : la correction du fond simultanée ainsi que des limites de détection inférieures améliorent l'exactitude des résultats de l'analyse. Avec la spectrométrie HR-CS AAS, les bandes moléculaires peuvent également être analysées. Il est ainsi possible de déterminer des éléments ne pouvant pas être analysés avec la technique habituelle AAS.

En associant la technique d'analyse des solides directe de Analytik Jena, il est possible d’analyser des échantillons solides directement en four graphite, et ce sans préparation complexe des échantillons. Cet avantage permet à ses utilisateurs de gagner beaucoup de temps dans leur travail quotidien. L'utilisation de la technique HydrEA – pour déterminer les éléments générateurs d'hydrures – permet à contrAA® 600 d'obtenir les meilleures limites de détection tout en réduisant simultanément les effets de matrice.

La série HR-CS AAS a été développée en étroite coopération avec l'Institut des Sciences Analytiques de Leibniz (ISAS) à Berlin. Les nouveaux appareils d’haute qualité sont produits sur les sites de Analytik Jena à Überlingen et à Jena en Allemagne. Grâce à son réseau de partenaires au niveau international, la société assure le support technique et applicatif pour ce nouveau produit.
