Application

In principle, any type of biomolecule or cell that forms a specific binding to a matching capture molecule at the sensor chip surface is detectable. In the area of nucleic acid detection, applications include the detection of pathogens and several infectious diseases. In the area of protein analysis, several multiplexed assays have been developed including a highly successful detection panel for toxins. Other applications include the detection of antibiotics, cardiac markers and inflammation markers.
